ISLAND LIFE DAILY LIVING TEST

Philippines Entry and Visa Extension Planning, Build a Stay Calendar

Use official travel records and a review calendar before your permitted stay runs short.

Income first. Plan second. Move third.

Before departure, use the official eTravel site

The Philippine Travel Information System says arriving foreign passengers are among the groups required to register or update in eTravel, subject to the exemptions listed in its FAQ. The same FAQ says registration is free, identifies etravel.gov.ph as the only official eTravel website, and states registration is available within 72 hours before arrival or departure.

Complete the record using your travel details. Download or screenshot the QR code before leaving the site. The official FAQ says travelers are expected to present proof of registration before boarding. Keep the QR code available without depending on airport WiFi.

Before flight checklist
  • Confirm passport, ticket and destination requirements with official sources and your carrier.
  • Use the official eTravel site within its stated registration window.
  • Save the QR code on your phone and keep a second offline copy.
  • Keep the address and contact details for your first accommodation.
  • Do not pay a website for eTravel registration. The official service says registration is free.

Your admitted period is the date which controls your plan

Do not build your stay calendar from a general article or another traveler’s nationality. Admission depends on the documents and circumstances reviewed for your trip. After inspection, record the admitted until date shown in the official record or document given to you. If anything is unclear, ask the Bureau of Immigration.

Create three entries in your calendar.

Entry oneYour admitted until date, copied from the official record.
Entry twoA review date set by you well before the admitted until date.
Entry threeYour planned departure or the date by which an approved extension must be confirmed.

The review date is an Island Life planning buffer. It is not an official application deadline. Choose enough time to check eligibility, office or online procedures, processing needs, travel plans and possible problems. Never assume submitting an application extends your authorized stay.

Extension access does not mean automatic approval

On November 12, 2025, the Bureau of Immigration stated that foreign nationals could continue processing visa extensions through its eServices portal. The announcement said the online option remained available while one field office was affected by typhoon damage.

That announcement supports the existence of an online channel. It does not promise eligibility, approval, processing time or a fixed fee for your case. Check the portal and current Bureau guidance near your review date. If the service directs you to an office or requests added documents, follow the official instructions.

Why this guide does not publish an extension fee table

Fee tables, express lane charges and document requirements change. Your nationality, admission stage, requested extension and required documents also affect what you pay. An old citizen charter is useful for historical context, but it should not be presented as a current quote.

For planning, keep a visa and compliance reserve inside the Living Cost Calculator. Treat it as money set aside, not an estimate of the fee you will receive. Replace the placeholder with the amount shown by the official process for your case, then retain the receipt.

Use one folder for every stay record

A personal record system, not an immigration checklist.
SaveWhy it helpsWhat to verify
Passport identity pageConnects your travel file to the document used.Validity and document details required for your trip.
eTravel QR codeGives you offline proof of the submitted registration.Details match the trip you are taking.
Admission recordProvides the date for your stay calendar. The admitted until date and any conditions.

Receipts and approved documentsSeparates payment from approval and records the outcome.Name, dates and document details are correct.

Store copies in a protected digital folder and keep what you need offline. Do not share passport pages or reference numbers in public groups. If you use a representative, confirm the person and the transaction through official channels.

Build travel flexibility into the budget

Here is a planning exercise, not an official cost estimate. Suppose you hold 300 USD for document charges and a schedule change, plus 700 USD for an unexpected flight adjustment. Your travel compliance reserve is 1,000 USD. If your verified costs are lower, the balance remains part of your reserve.

Replace those figures with your flight terms, insurance terms and the current official amount for your case. Keep this money apart from rent and daily spending. Avoid committing your full reserve to a long lease before your stay plan and exit options are clear.

Tourist admission is not a work permission statement

A plan to earn online does not remove immigration, tax or business questions. A tourist stay must not be treated as authorization to work. Ask the Bureau of Immigration or a qualified Philippine immigration professional which status or permission applies to your planned activity. Ask a tax professional about your citizenship, residence and business structure.

If you are still testing the income side, start with the contractor inquiry, follow up and booking walkthrough. The walkthrough remains a simulation, not a connected HighLevel client account. It explains one service process without claiming client results.
